Cougar Marching Band

The Pride of Northwest, the Cougar Band, is the largest performing ensemble within the band program.  The band membership consists of over 115 performers and has enjoyed superior ratings in regional and state festivals for the past two years.  The Cougar Band competed in the MHSAA STATE MARCHING CHAMPIONSHIPS and earned 9th place in 2007 and 8th place in 2008, meeting many performance, group, and individual goals along the way. Earning superior ratings at the Oak Grove Marching Contest, MHSAA Region IV, Pearl Invitational, and the MHSAA State Band Festivals, the students in the band program understand hard work and are eager each term to meet goals.  The Cougar Marching Band performs at a variety of community, athletic, and civic events in the Flowood/Reservoir area.
